A beautifully toned stater from Kelenderis

CILICIA. Kelenderis. Circa 350-330 BC. Stater (Silver, 25 mm, 10.00 g, 12 h). Nude ephebe, holding goad in his right hand and reins in his left, seated sideways on horse prancing to right, preparing to jump off and run alongside the horse. Rev. KEΛ Male goat kneeling to left, head turned back to right; below, O; to right, countermark: bull walking right, head facing, within square incuse. SNG Copenhagen -. SNG Levante -. SNG Paris -. SNG von Aulock -. Very rare with goat to left. A splendid coin, beautifully toned and struck on excellent metal. Light doubling on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
